Common Questions

Is LFA right for my team?

Does your firm want to build a shared foundation in regenerative design and equip your team to address climate, health, and equity in their work? LFA provides accessible, holistic learning for professionals at all levels, with no prerequisites required.

Whether you’re onboarding new staff, building firm-wide knowledge, or strengthening your team’s ability to engage clients around regenerative design, LFA gives your team a common foundation and language for moving the work forward.

What’s the difference between individual and team enrollment?

Individual enrollment is for one person and is purchased in their name.

Team enrollment allows an organization to purchase multiple enrollments at once and distribute them to team members using a unique code. You do not need to know team members’ names at the time of purchase.

How is a team defined?

A team can be a business, organization, or school. All team members must use the same company or school email domain.

How do team members enroll?

  1. Purchase your team enrollments and select the number of enrollments you need. No team member names are required at purchase.
  2. Receive your enrollment code after your purchase is processed within 5 business days. The code includes the number of uses you purchased and is valid for one year.
  3. Share the code with your team members.
  4. Team members activate their enrollment using the code and create or log in to their Living Future course account.
  5. Begin LFA. Each team member has 12 months from activation to complete the curriculum and earn their credential.

How long does each team member have to complete LFA?

Each team member has 12 months from the date they activate their LFA enrollment to complete the program and earn their credential. Team enrollments are valid for one year from purchase, giving you flexibility to enroll team members as needed.

Is there a final exam for LFA?

No. Understanding of the material is assessed through knowledge checks, multiple-choice quizzes, and activities. This approach emphasizes true comprehension rather than rote memorization.

Does the LFA credential require renewal or continuing education?

No. The LFA credential does not expire, and no renewal or continuing education is currently required to maintain it. However, LFA course content evolves alongside Living Future's programs and strategy. To stay current, you can enroll in individual courses covering new program updates and topics, or become a Living Future Member to unlock access to more courses, webinars, resources to stay up-to-date.

Do LFA enrollments count toward continuing education credits?

Yes. LFA is approved by AIA CES for 20 AIA LU|HSW. We’ll report credits for eligible team members to the American Institute of Architects.

Learners may also be able to earn other continuing education credits by self-reporting their LFA completion to their credentialing program using the provided certificate.
